Geography Bee Results: The Line/Shapleigh Geography Bee took place on Tuesday, January 8th at 1:00 PM in the Line School Gym. This included 4th and 5th grade participants from Line and Shapleigh with 3rd grade students attending as audience members as well. We would like to congratulate all 32 of our students who worked and studied hard to qualify as participants. A special congratulations goes to Nathan Valverde (3rd place - Shapleigh), Caeleigh Moulton and Nathaniel Howe (2nd place - Line) and Ryan Poirier (1st place - Line). Way to go everyone!
New Playground Equipment: During the weekend of October 20th we installed a new merry go round and two sets of outdoor bongo drums as new additions to our playground. We would like to thank our PTC for their generous contribution of over $3,000.00 to match funds provided through the RSU57 budget process for these special request items. We would also like to greatly thank members of the Winn family, who donated their equipment and Mr. Dan Winn and Mr. John Turgeon for their time and expertise in completing the installation. Way to go!
The York County Retired Educators Association selected Line Elementary School for their annual “Day of Caring.” This was held on Saturday, September 15th with eight members of this group and six students and their advisor from St. Joseph’s College in Standish participating.
This caring group of individuals volunteered and completed several school projects that include: 1) painting the cafeteria wall, 2) painting the entire main part of the kitchen, 3) painting a staff bathroom, 4) a complete cleaning and reorganization a storage room, 5) outdoor yard work, and 6) refreshing the sand tables on the playground.
In addition, the school was given a donation of over a dozen backpacks completely filled with school supplies, additional school materials and supplies, and a donation to our PTC for $260.00 to benefit students through the generosity of the following organizations:

What a great group and what an amazing job they did in helping make Line School a great place for our children to learn!
